Licensed Professional Counselor
I´m Danielle
I offer individuals and couples direction towards embodying self-love, building thriving relationships, and finding fulfillment in every area of life. I believe therapy works best when it feels grounding, supportive, and purposeful. My role is to offer a calm, safe space where you can come exactly as you are, while also helping you move toward meaningful goals with clarity, intention, and direction.
Many of the clients I work with feel stuck for reasons that go deeper than motivation or willpower. Our early environments, family stress, unprocessed trauma, and lack of support around caring for our bodies and nervous systems all shape how we learn to cope. I approach therapy with an understanding of these layers, helping clients move through hardship without staying rooted in a victim narrative, but rather move toward resilience, self-trust, and growth.
Why “North Star” Counseling
The idea of a North Star became central to how I understand healing. A North Star is not something you arrive at, but something you orient toward. It offers direction when life feels unclear and steadiness during seasons of uncertainty. Whether understood as purpose, values, inner wisdom, or faith, there is a calling within each of us that gently pulls us toward who we are becoming. Learning to hear that calling through the noise of fear, old patterns, and external expectations is a powerful part of the therapeutic process.
Over the years, I’ve spent time around people who achieved a great deal externally, yet felt disconnected or unfulfilled internally. That contrast taught me that true fulfillment isn’t found in recognition or achievement alone, but in inner alignment and peace. My hope is to help clients identify their North Star, whether that’s an internal way of being, a purpose-driven life, or a version of themselves they want to grow into, so they have something meaningful to orient toward, even in difficult seasons.
The Story
My North Star
For most of my life, my vision of success and love was shaped by external markers. I believed success and a sense of fulfillment would arrive once certain milestones were reached. I traveled the world seeking out people, places, and experiences that aligned with that vision, trusting it would lead to lasting happiness.
Over time, and through both listening to other’s stories and living my own, that perspective began to shift. I came to see that we can envision all we want, but life is complex and unpredictable. It can be stressful and painful, yet also meaningful, creative, and beautiful. What ultimately shapes our experience is not only what happens to us, but the meaning we assign to it. In my work as a counselor, I see how this meaning can either keep people stuck or open the door to growth and transformation.
Becoming the mother of a medically complex child has been one of the most formative experiences of my life. It deepened my understanding of grief, surrender, and resilience, and continues to inform how I support clients navigating prolonged stress, uncertainty, or loss of expectation. This experience strengthened my ability to sit with difficult emotions while maintaining a sense of inner peace, resilience, and faith.
Earlier in my life, I believed my North Star would be found in travel or in finding the person who felt like home. Over time, it evolved into motherhood and guiding another human through life. Along the way, I learned that inner peace, resilience, and self-trust are not dependent on circumstances. They are cultivated through intentional awareness, compassion, and alignment with what matters most. This understanding now shapes the way I support others.
If you are moving through a challenging season and longing for a deeper sense of alignment, you do not have to navigate it alone. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, structure, and support as you reconnect with your own North Star and begin moving toward the life you want to live.
